I think I've asked this before and got only modest response from the delegation, but I want to try the question again.

If the weather is nice.
And
If we can arrange it.
And
If it's not prohibitively expensive.
Who wants to take a balloon ride one morning while we're in Burgundy?
I think it may cost as much as 200€ or more per person for a one hour flight if you want to go, so it won't be cheap. I'll investigate the details when we get there, but for some reason I have the idea that this would be a very fun thing to do and a once in a lifetime kind of deal.

While taking a baloon ride is not at the top of my list of things to do, I would go with you if the conditions are good! Which town has the balloons???
I'm up for it if it meets all the above said conditions. I am also glad to see that I will be able to enjoy the cafe's etc. Smoke and food just do not go down well together.
I have been out of the country and not able to get on the site. Which after reading the purposed exploits in the sky, I'm glad. How do you say EEEUWWWWW (TMI) in french?
Unless you want to have every person and animal you float past looking up to see where the screaming is emanating from, I should not be included.
Clearly this balloon thing is my own little fantasy and not shared by the group as a whole.
Tell you what--we'll table the balloon idea until we get there and I'll test the level of enthusiasm among the troops again then. If a handful of us really want to do it, perhaps we could have our own little side adventure one day.
And I'm with Kathy and Colleen in that I would never, ever go up in one of those things under less than perfect weather conditions.
Ok, so let's not tempt fate with the balloon ride. But we can climb to the top of the Eiffel tower if you just want to get high!
