Hi fellow travelers,
Welcome to our adventure. Can you believe that our little excursion together is less than 13 months away? But, I've learned from previous travels, that a whole lot of the fun is in the dreaming and scheming.
Since it's almost certain that there won't come a time in advance of our trip when all of us are able to gather as an entire group, I've decided to set up a blog where we can plan together, dream together, and generally have a little fun. I'll also use this spot to give you information about things like flight arrangements/changes, hotel information, etc.
Let's kick this thing off with a bit of low impact blogging. I don't want to frighten you away too soon. So, how about responding to the little poll on the right side of the screen? Oh, and feel free to peruse my profile for grins and giggles.
Next time, we'll kick it up a notch and ask you to blog-in with a brief autobiography to share with the others in the group.
Hank

Please comment as we go and make me feel the love.
I definitely want Hank to feel the love!
So I am preparing for the trip by doing two things so far. First, I am listening to "Coffee Break French" on my ipod. Only problem is that it takes me two run-throughs to remember everything so I am way behind Hank on learning words. Second, I just turned 49 two days ago, so I am officially on yearlong count-down to the big FIVE-O.
This is so a test. I have never blogged before, but I want you to feel the love Hank. Isn't Paris called the City of Love??
Way to blog Kathy! You did just fine and we can all see the comments you added. I also sent everyone a link that will allow you to register and create your own new posts if you want to.
I see that so far five folks (including me) have responded to the poll. Who else is out there?
I see that you've registered Kathy. Now, whenever you like, you can now add your own original posts to the blog by clicking on "new post" at the top of the page.
Yahoo!!! I have dreamed of joining a Henley adventure!!!
I too am trying to reacquaint myself with the French language, via NPR Sunday morning broadcasts, and Berlitz for dummies. I should be proficient in greetings and counting soon!!
Thanks again to our host/hostess with the mostest!!!
Hank - I want you to feel the love, too, but I've been a little distracted the past few days preparing for the return of my beloved!!! By the way, I hope that you have sent this info to his Yahoo account because he is not going to be accessing the account he has used while in Iraq.
Jeff's ETA is 1:25 p.m., Sunday, March 25th; we pick him up at the Montgomery airport!
Just wait - the Erwins will be in big-time preparation mode for the big adventure once we're reunited.
Hey Cathleen, I totally understand the distraction factor.
We're all waiting for the word that Jeff is safely home.
We are all so excited for you.
Also, can you send me his Yahoo address so I can fix the distribution list? I've got two military e-mail addresses for him, but not that one.
Hank
